Every autumn in New Hampshire, it’s the same glorious scene: trees awash in stunning, vibrant color; crisp, fresh air; apple trees heavy with enticing red fruits; glowing orange pumpkin patches; and the lure of activities that take us outdoors to enjoy the whole experience of Autumn.

New Hampshire Public Television has brought together images of the Granite State’s renown foliage and favorite fall outings with timeless poetry about the harvest season. Autumn’s Passage captures the poignant experience of Autumn through a series of vignettes, each celebrating the beauty and rich traditions of fall.

This original program is a moving and lyrical journey across New Hampshire from the ripe, heady days of harvest to the arrival of the first frost. It includes prose and poetry by Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost and Poet Laureate Donald Hall, and other writers.
